Saturday 8 May- Eastern District Practice St Audoen’s 1400 – 1600

Saturday 15 May - Murphy Cup Competition , Drogheda 1400

Sunday 16 May - Quarter Peal attempt for An Ghorta Mhoir 1230

Saturday 12 June - Eastern District Practice Kilkenny 1400 – 1600, followed by evening cook-out at Martin's Wicklow retreat nr Baltinglass. Details to follow nearer the time.

Sunday 20 June - Special ringing on 16, 1430 for Ordination Service (Martha Waller)

Bellringers' Lindoff Cup Success! (Saturday 13 March 2010)

I am very proud to announce that today (Saturday 13 March 2010), Christ Church Cathedral ringers won the annual Eastern District striking competition and retained the Lindoff Cup for the fifth year in succession. Eight of our Sunday Service band went along to Taney this afternoon and successfully defended their title of local ringing champions, beating off a strong challenge from St Patrick's Cathedral and Christ Church Taney. We will now go forward to the All-Ireland competiton for the Murphy Cup in May which will be held at St Peter's Church, Drogheda. Such is the attraction of this competition that RTÉ were there to cover the day's ringing and it will be featured on the programme Capital D in a couple of weeks time - don't miss it!

Murphy Cup Winners! (Saturday 16 May 2009)

MURPHY CUP WINNERS 

Today at Christ Church Taney, we won the Murphy Cup which is the Irish Association of Change Ringers Annual Striking Competition. This is the most prestigious All-Irealnd ringing compettion and is the ringing equivalent of the Sam Maguire! Here is a picture of the victorious team proudly holding the Murphy Cup.
