The Magic of Mendelssohn!
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Felix Mendelssohn, the Hibernian Orchestra will be giving a concert in Christ Church Cathedral on Saturday 14 November at 20.00hrs. The concert will feature a performance of the composer's popular violin concerto by Cora Venus Lunny, described by broadcaster Gay Byrne as 'one of the most extraordinary talents Ireland has ever produced'. The Hibernian Orchestra will be performing Mendelssohn’s overture from ‘The Hebrides’ and his Violin concerto in E Minor, as well as Beethoven’s symphony no. 2 in D. The orchestra will be conducted by John Finucane, and tickets will be available at the door on the night.

Parking is available in Jurys Inn car park, opposite the Cathedral.
